Galileo

Mon Dec 7, 2009, 10:02 PM
so ive been working on designing costumes for the main stage production of CRT's Galileo. After months of working on this very VERY large show, its finally open and i can move on with the rest of my life ie: catching up on hw, going to class, finishing up my senior year and getting ready for portfolio review.

Its been a huge honor to be one of a very few undergrads to design costumes on a mainstage at UCONN...but its been rough. One of the main issues was that the show was simply to large for our shop to handle with the limited labor and skills we have available to us. Some how we've pulled if off and Im happy with the way its come out.

An exciting part of working on this show though is the new technologies made available to our program through a very nice donation from Blue Sky Studios. Here is a link to an awesome article (with some pics of the set and our Projection tech tables) about the show and what the donation has done for my program.
